Nasutsa Mabwa has been named President of Balmoral Interests, where she will manage the strategic direction and daily operations of two Chicago-based ServiceMaster franchises: ServiceMaster Restoration by Simons and ServiceMaster Cleaning by Simons.

Mabwa brings to Balmoral Interests an extensive background in real estate development and urban planning in Chicago.

“I am excited about this new opportunity,” Mabwa said. “In my new role, I intend to focus on building the commercial and residential side of our property restoration and construction business by developing key real estate industry relationships.”

Most recently, Mabwa served as a Senior Project Manager for McCaffery Interests, a real estate development firm. At McCaffery, she managed the Lakeside Development, a 600-acre mixed-use community on Chicago’s southeast side. Before joining McCaffery, Mabwa worked for the City of Chicago for seven years as an Urban Planner and Director.

Along with her professional accomplishments, Mabwa has held a variety of community and academic involvement positions. From 2007 to 2010, Mabwa served as the Chair of the Job1 Youth Program for the Rotary Club of Chicago. In 2011, she was a member of the Leadership and Diversity Committee of Commercial Executive Real Estate Women of Chicago (CREW). Mabwa currently serves on the board of EPIC Academy – a charter school in Chicago – and the School Advisory Council for Lycée Français de Chicago (The French International School). She is also a mentor in the Goldie B. Wolfe Miller Women Leaders in Real Estate Initiative at Roosevelt University. For all her achievements and involvement, Mabwa was awarded the Women in Real Estate Bright Horizon Award in 2008, and later named one of Crain’s Chicago Business’s “40 Under 40” in 2010.

Mabwa holds two advanced degrees: a master’s degree in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois-Chicago and an MBA with a real estate development concentration from Roosevelt University.
